New? CitiBusiness AAdvantage Select World Elite Mastercard

Has anyone heard of this Citi Business card? It appears to be brand new and is exactly what I'm looking for in a business card. It looks like a lower tier version of the Platinum Select card.

It only appears on the AA website but its not on Citi's business page. I called Citi cs and they had no idea what I was talking about. Idk what the AF is. Hopefully its $0. If anyone has any info on how to apply, please share!

That's a different card, this is a no af and basically no perks card, looks like it only earns aa miles at a rate of 1x on everything except cruises and offers 25% inflight food/beverage discounts

I applied for it at the end of January. It's very odd, I got a we couldn't process your app message, try again later (no credit pull). I applied again later and it said it was approved. Then I got a denial email. Then an approval email. I think there was a duplicate so one got denied. Only one EQ pull however.

760+ EQ score

16000 credit limit

I only wanted it for the SUB.

@randomguy1 Was it for the Platinum Select or the regular Select (Blue card)? I don't even see an application link for the blue one.

Re: New? CitiBusiness AAdvantage Select World Elite Mastercard

@Djenius, I believe both the $0 AF (Blue) Business Select and the $0 AF (Gold) Personal AAdvantage Select cards are grandfathered, older cards.  They aren't open to new applicants.  However, I believe CITI does allow someone to downgrade into one of those cards from one of the other relative (business/personal) cards.  Of course, with the $0 AF, you do lose some rewards and/or perks so read the fine print.

So if you want that Blue Citi-business, apply for the the Platinum Select version and then see if you can downgrade after a year or so.

@Aim_High Thanks. That makes sense. I wanna add the Platinum Select to my business profile at some point this year. Whenever I get it, I'll probably downgrade to the blue version after the first year to avoid the AF.

Curious, are you able to use the same login credentials in the citi app for business cards as you do with the personal citi cards or do they require a separate login for biz cards?

I've been considering citi for business as well, but it would be inconvenient to have 2 different logins.

I have two different logins but I have not investigated whether the accounts could be linked.
