Plum Approved...Questions...

Just got approved for the plum card.  I have a few questions....

Does this card give you 60 days to pay your account balance in full ?

Also, what are the rewards with this card ?

I'm confused why you would app this card without understanding how it works first. Info on card -> Plum Card Details

Scores 01/04/2017: EQ 719, TU 750, EX 716
Goal scores: 740 across the board

+1. Amazing to me that people ask these type of questions after applying and being approved for the card.  It takes all of about two minutes to look at Amex's site and find the answers.  The time to do this is before you apply.  Andy, please take this as it is intended but you are all over these boards asking questions about Amex that you should have asked before applying or waiting longer to apply.  It might be time to slow down and do some research before applying for more cards.

Re: Plum Approved...Questions...

Congrats on the approval.  I have this card and like it.  Yes, you have 60 days to pay and you also get 1.5% early pay discount.

Re: Plum Approved...Questions...

The plum to me is not great if you can't pay by the 10 day early pay discount because than you are just swiping a ZERO reward card each month AND I have a feeling if you are constantly borrowing on the 60 day you will hit your amex internal limit so fast you will have to make a payment to get your account to allow charging anyway so now you lost out on your 1.5% return and still didn't get a full 60 days to pay!

Our Plum card has a 6 month "average of $3600 so that tops off our spending at around $5500 right now before they demand a payment.

Amex switched all charge cards personal and business the a 6 month "average" and then they might let you go above that by a %.... Until your 6 month average is running close to your new monthly spending you will run into issues if you try to go far above it!!

I don't like it! years ago charge cards always seemed to stay above your highest spend EVER as long as you paid but i think amex got a little burnt in 2008-2009

CA...  Your comment about the six month average makes me wonder - Does Amex take into consideration the balances or activity on other cards besides their own? As someone who just paid off $14k of Citi debt last week, it would be disappointing if Amex didn't recognize that there was spending occurring, even if it wasn't on their own cards.

Ironically I just received a solicitation for a $50 statement credit for a single purchase of $1000+.

I was going to garden... Honest!

No, that's one of the reasons we lost so much of our average spend because we had moved over to a Capital One Cash for half a year until it was closed and now we only use and only have Amex Plum (which is a perfect example of never just have 1 card with 1 issuer so when you have issues it doesn't put you in a dead stop!)
