Between the two banks you mentioned you desire to pickup, Amex and USB, I have found Amex to be very generous.
I like US Bank too because they do offer a low apr card. Nice to have that as an option for something unexpected.
Not sure if this has come to fruition, but rumor has it that the Cap1 Spark 2% cb card will no longer report to personal credit. (3 hp's still)
Good Luck on your endeavors!
Thanks @GApeachy. I have very little ambitions for Business Credit Building. I am letting the time take its course and improve both my personal and business credit. I froze all 3 personal reports until August 2021 and possibly for longer than August 2021. It will probably take another 2 more years before I can see a significant gains in my personal scores before then.
Right now, I have 2 Personal Secured cards, Biz Account, Savings, Retirement accounts with US Bank. I am hoping that might relationship might translate into an approval for US Bank Business Card in the future. With Amex I have Optima Rebuild card now and I have to wait 1 year before I can apply for regular Amex Card. Optima will turn 1 year in July 2021 and I am hoping to apply for a Biz Card in August 2021.
I have no other dreams or ambitions at this time. Just let the time take its course and keep making the payments on time and let the reports age.
Very cool, off to a great start. Since you have USB relations just thought I'd had something else. They will be backing State Farm Ins. products come Jan 2021....just in case you're a customer that could prove to be beneficial in the future for biz and personal ccc's as well.
The only thing that is not known at this time is whether the SFB biz products will be left as separate (or possibly integrated into the USB platform) given that today any SFB CC products report to personal unlike USB biz CCs.
That's a little disappointing. I didn't know sf biz products reported to personal or I wouldn't have even been waiting on this....dang! Thanks for the heads up @FinStar . Maybe USB will turn this around.
Yes sistah 🤩.
It was one of those things I learned when there weren't many DPs on the boards (or mixed results) back in the day. So, naturally I became a GP 😜 when I saw it on CRs then I knew lol.
Now, interestingly enough USB sent SFB biz CC accountholders a form associated with upcoming account changes and a requirement for updating the biz CC company profile. This was driven by regulatory required information. The way I interpret it, it almost sounds like they would integrate things with the USB platform but it's not specific enough. So, we'll see.

OP, good luck!
And, @GApeachy, always learn so much from your posts. Thanks!

I've also heard the card will act as similarly to NPSL allowing you to gradually spend up to 3x the credit limit. From what I understand, since October, the Spark Cash Card does not report to personal credit for new applicants!

Too bad they "Grandfathered" us out of this non-reporting. Not worth reapplying...but it's worth it for padding I suppose. So it's now tossed into the sd. Amex daily; USb replaces Spark

It is my hope that they eventually roll it out to all members.
I have tried to talk
to numerous people at quill and cannot get a clear answer how to qualify for net 30 just keep getting the runaround

Hi @Anonymous it was pretty easy for me. I made purchases of about $30 for each month for 3 months and then I called and asked CSR for Net 30 account. She put me on hold and connected me to their finance department and they approved Net 30. I asked for more limit. She suggested I should call her back in couple months and ask for CLI and they would increase the limit. Quill is not bad comparing to couple of other Net 30 accounts I obtained which charged upfront membership fees, and very high monthly shipping charges. I like products sold by Quill and their incentive system for purchases and free shipping.
well, i will say this
for a company i started towards the end of 2019 i never requested a net30 from quill
i made a couple of purchases throughout the year and just paid with a credit card
one purchase was ~ $100 and the other was ~ $50
i went to make a recent purchase like a week ago and noticed that on checkout it gave me the option tab to invoice me...THIS WAS NOT THERE when i made the prev purchases
anyways ordered on a monday, package delivered on tues, invoice came next day (email)
credit stats for this particular business. just over 1yr old... dnb shows a whopping total of 4 trade experiences, experian has nothing but uline on it
sidenote... i cant get approved for anybody that pulls experian...for some reason uline added the tradeline after i registered for an account...i never ordered anything until months later... what is interesting that even since i ordered they never reported any payment info... its only a tradeline with no payment activity info (i verify this because when i get a credit decline, i always pull the report using the RFR with my adverse action letter)
hopefully now *if Quill still reports i can get some activity on experian so that i can get approved for other things 🤷🏿♂️
another sidenote, was recently approved for Dell $5k, so it looks like the 4 payment experiences on dnb will get you a "starter" credit line @ Dell

Dell reports to Experian Business cb. They are on ours.
