So I've been working on paying off the rest of my cc debt, keeping a diverse profile, & trying to keep my scores as good as possible for mortgage hunting next year. I've got my Fico 8's (I know those aren't used for mortgage) to 843 (ex), 842 (eq), & 849 (tu), 1% utilization, a timeshare mortage with 3k left on it, & a personal loan that was at $16k balance from a $24k start.
I was paying my Amex bills & had a personal loan offer up to $40k @ 4.98%....I took the offer ($20k) as it will knock 3% off my current loan APR.
My Platinum annual fee hit & after a quick convo through Amex chat I got a 40k MR offer for $3k spend.
My Gold card annual fee hits next week & I got the same offer on that...40k MR for $3k spend.
I'm also a few weeks past 6 months for my next cli so I asked for a $5k bump on my Marriott Business card...approved & I went from $10k to $15k.
$120k income, $59k exposure with Amex on revolvers, Plat & Gold charge cards, new $20k personal loan with amex...$420k in total lines...
Even better...loan hit the bank next day, no inquiries for all this, & I'll save some cash with the new APR...
Productive week for me & Amex...
I'm so happy I've been able to fix all my errors & poor decisions from my 20's. Life in the 800's is so much better than life in the 500's. I owe all of this to learning & learning & learning here...
So happy for you @Physh1 !!!!
American Express can be rather generous with the right people. Glad you've been so fortunate

Congratulations! I too love Amex. I think they are easy to work with, have great products, and are quite generous. The only caveat seems to be if you ever mismanage or burn them. I hear they have a blacklist. Buddy of mine is still on it.

You're an inspiration for us all!
Fantastic accomplishment and proof that by dilligently following good practices and retaining focus, anyone sufficiently motivated can rehabilitate their credit situation and improve their life. You've undoubtably made sacrifices to get there -- and it's clearly paid-off!
Great job.
Congratulations on your Amex success!
@Physh1 Congrats on your approvals and congrats on confusing me lol
You have business card CLI here, and personal loan, but we're in personal card approvals.
Where would you like me to move your thread, Personal finance or business credit?
