Sams Club Business Credit Card but online ?

So, I heard from different forums and post that sams club business credit card does only hard pull on the business and not personal, but the earliest post was a year and a half ago. I notice they all went into the store and not tried online application. Does anyone know if this policy still works with them and if so also online ? I got perfect credit and do not mind a soft pull and my business risk score is low which is a good thing.

I don't recall if the card had been offered online before or only in person.  In previous years, the approval with SP were done in person, in store.  It's been quite a while since others have posted about a recent approval.

PS even if you go into the store you are not guaranteed to get a rep that knows what they are doing. I have to say one of the worst experiences getting credit through the Sams Business card, too many issues with incorrect business name on card and then 1 year later asking for a Business benefactor of the card. They  HP the business for CLI as well

did the online biz application the other day  

message to call in w/ ref number to complete* application

they verified phone number.. cust svc agent sends a text message with a 5 digit code to repeat back.

then transfers you to biz dept. verify biz name and last 4 of ein... please hold while i complete the app

at that time they hit the transunion w/ the hard  (got alert)  

came back said approved for $5000  

account showed up in the payment method on samsclub dot com almost immediately, so i see its a mastercard (vs. store card) set to autorenew membership

side notes:

i currently have the store card and the mastercard with another biz (opened in store)

this app was for a newer biz started back in 2022...   this biz creditwise currently has a wells fargo biz card, an amazon amex, and a cap one spark select

no trade credit for this business 

i am also conducting a side experiment based on my other biz dnb file that has activity that matches sam club 

this particular business currently has a blank file... i will report back if i experience activity on dnb for this  new sams account (even though i have no trade credit..)   as proof that i'm not crazy  🙃
