TD Bank Credit Card

Be careful with TD Bank credit card.  This is the worse customer service I have seen by a bank in the US.  I have had a business card for 7 years.  On November 22nd TD card services cancelled access to the portal to check balances and make payments without prior notice.  Our credit card was also suspended.  When calling, Customer Service stated that the account was frozen because of possible fraud.  They further stated that they could not talk to us about anything and that we would get a call from the Fraud department within 24 hours.  After waiting for 2 days for the call, we called again.  They stated then that the call would happen within 10 days.  We never received a call.  In following up we tried to inquire for a copy of the statement, and the balance in the account to pay whatever was outstanding.  Customer Service would not provide either one.  Finally, after 40 days the account was activated.  TD did not notify us.  We found out because of calling as a follow up to get a copy of the statement for the auditors.  By this time TD was sending me collection letters for a small open balance which they were not willing to provide to us.  Sadly the account was frozen over a $200 charge from a company that we do transactions with almost in daily bases, for years.  I called my branch manager to help me with the situation and I am yet to get a call from him.  TD Bank froze the account for no reason, would not give me information on the outstanding balance for me to pay, would not notify us of what was happening with the account or call us as committed, and worse yet, they were willing to damage my credit.  BE CAREFUL

Re: TD Bank Credit Card

If this is regarding a business credit card, you may want to post this in the business credit forum.

I am sorry that you are having problems with the TD Bank card. They are pretty regional (meaning most customers would live within a reasonable distance from a branch), could you have gone in person to a branch to resolve this?

Agreed that TD Bank customer service is the pits.
