recommendations on what BCCs to apply for--mini/micro spree

Hello FICO friends!

I keep getting a brainwave to do a mini/micro spree (like 2-3 applications/cards) to basically build my available business CLs for padding.

On the business side, I already have:

Citizens Bank Business ($25k)

AmEX Blue Plus ($25k)

AmEX Blue Cash ($10k)
First Citizens ($20k)

Ameris (backed by Elan) ($8k) (they've raised the limit for me, and also send me nice BT offers)

NBKC (backed by Elan) ($3k)

On the personal side, I have "relationships" with all the big ones -- BOA, WF, Chase, Citi, PenFed, Navy Fed, Discover, etc.

Income about $165k

Personal credit scores currently

803 (EQ),

792 (EXP),

800 (TU)

(YAYY!!)

Last applications were around November (approved for First Citizens $25k)

and January (approved for AmEX Blue Plus $25k)
and IIRC, PNC business credit card (they said no to me)

I'm not in the geographical area for FNBO Evergreen.

Chase has given me minutely small limits in the past on the personal side (when I was in a very different place).

Elan is dubious with me because I accidentally missed a payment or two when I first got the card because I didn't understand the website.

US Bank has said no to me in the past

PNC has said no to me twice, two years in a row.

My instinct is to apply for the WF Business credit card, Signify,

and also Apple FCU business credit card (low docs, also low regular rate)

Any other suggestions?  Thoughts?

If I were you I would go for Chase Ink Business Cash.

Don't even think about the starting limit. In the unlikely event that you get a small one, they'll give you auto increases quickly if you use the account a lot.  But I'm betting that your starting limit will be 16k or even more.

Re: recommendations on what BCCs to apply for--mini/micro spree

@SouthJamaica, thanks so much for that suggestion!  I'm always happy to "see" you here.

UPDATE: I just double-checked one of the dates so I am editing this post!

Sidebar:  as of today, all 3 of my personal FICO 8s have hit 800!  Thank you for being with me on this journey from the very beginning.  I don't think I could have done it without this community.

Because of your suggestion,

I'm looking into Chase Business Ink before applying,

and I realized they have the 5/24 rule.

In the past 24 months,

*unless I am forgetting something, which is possible*

(I am currently sick and pretty out of it),

I've opened, on the personal side:
Navy Fed #2 (4/23/2023, according to my NF online account)
So I am actually "in the clear", since it's been over 24 months on this one

BECU (11/14/23 date of issuance)

PenFed  (Nov 2023)

First Tech (applied 12/5/2023)

Navy Fed #3 (12/14/2025)

So that is 5/24 4/24

And then on the business side:

First Citizens (8/22/23)

Amex Business (8/23/23)

First Citizens #2 (9 or 10/2024)
Amex Blue Business Plus (12/24/24)

so that is 4/24 on the business side.

My sense is to: find the exact date of Navy Fed #2 (approximately May 12, 2023)

and then wait until after that date to apply for Chase Business Ink

because then I will be *under* 5/24 on the personal side?

I will be 4/24?

Since I am under 5/24 on the personal side, am I good to try for the Chase Business Ink?

What date "counts" for the 5/24 rule--

is it the date of issuance?  (as opposed to date of application, or activation?)

Anything else you recommend?

FWIW I also have a BOA business CC offer sitting in my account.

Thank you so much for your wisdom and insight.  It truly means so much!

You're good to go. You're 4/24.

Re: recommendations on what BCCs to apply for--mini/micro spree

@SouthJamaica thank you!  Just to make sure I understand, since I'm 4/24 on the personal side, that is why I am 4/24 for Chase?
