I got the Orbitz card 4/14, and have not been able to get a CLI yet. Denied three times already for not having card long enough (letter said something about establishing a satisfactory payment history with them). I have not used the card a lot, maybe every other month. I have 2 other Comenity cards, FRN (opened 1/14 with 9k limit, now at 15k) and Total Rewards Visa (opened with 10.4 k limit, now at 17.4k). These cards got regular SP CLI's, with minimal usage.
FYI - just got first Orbitz CLI. Card opened 4/14, first CLI approved yesterday went from 9k to 12k.

What is up with my Comenity LUV buttons lately? Ever since I updated my address it prompts me to call in on every account. It's been over one month.
They LUV your voice.

Irish,
People tell me I should be on the radio all the time. Maybe it means I'm ugly
Hah 😃
This is a prime example of the fact that creditors do not simply hand out CLI because of x amount of time unless they have explicity stated (like Capital One does) that you will be eliglible at 6 months or whenever.
Yes, people can tell you what happened to them and we can look at the general trends with lenders but bottom line is there are no guarantees and there really can't be any huge expectations. If you barely use a card, every other month, having it 6 months is not going to do squat. You don't need an increase if you are barely using what they gave you. That's how they are going to view it.
You get an increase for demonstrating good history and arguably, running up a balance and paying it down, carrying even a small balance, etc is the way to get a more surefire CLI. There's still no guarantee, but I can't believe how many people expect to get a CLI on a barely used card just because it's been 6 months or some amount of time. I'm not saying you are acting that way, OP, just a general statement.

this may be a true statement for everyone BUT Comenity! you must not have comenity cards if you make a statement like this!?
My BJ's elite mastercard is Comenity. I don't remember them saying I would get an increase after x amount of time, but then again I don't really care much because I literally only use it at BJ's and I don't even spend 10% of my limit in a given month. I could use it elsewhere but there's not too much point.
of course they don't say "hey be sure to come back in 4 months we will give you CLI" those reps don't know nothing! and most of the comentiy stuff is computer done, it's like the Sync computers (most are good for cli every 4 statements with a few exceptions but comenity is a little different for each card and has quirks to get them to work more often depending on each card, that's all.
