61 day CLI amex activation date or open date?

Today is day 62 since I opened my SPG and I went for the CLI and got the 7-10 day message

Is that how long I have to wait? Also do you know if Amex does auto cli? Thanks!

keep us posted. perhaps you miscalculated your number of days?!? i've seen a denial reason coz they requested a day early.

does amex cli go with approval date? activation date?

Sorry to hear that.  Hopefully your count was just off and you can try again in a few days.  I am waiting until a week after I believe mine is just in case before I try.

I believe by the activation date, because i just checked and my "Approval" date was 12/08/15 for my BCE and i did get 2x cli at the activation which was on the 10th, and recently when i chat with the CS to ask them when i can ask for cli, she said it is June 10th that i can ask for cli again. But i am not sure if they based my date june 10th because i activated the card on the 10th or got the cli on the 10th.

I would just call they gave me the date I could apply for a cli. From reading other posts some said just go for a cli so I did. I immediately  got an email sayiing to call. 

Rep said my account was new and to wait 60 days and he gave me the date I could do it and said there would be no problem. So I will find out next month.

In your case since you got a cli it goes from that date, has nothing to do with acivation

So just to clarify is it 61 days after activation or after opening the account? I tried after activation and was denied and then tried once or twice after 30 days and then just tried 2 days ago which was 61 or 62 days after and got the 7-10day message but that was from the opening date not from the activation date....which one is it?
