7-10 day for Chase Freedom

So I just applied for the Chase Freedom to try and squeeze in before the $200 sign up bonus was up and now I got a 7-10 day response back.

1) Should I call a backdoor number?

2) Will I still get the $200 bonus if it pans out tomorrow?

I believe I'm getting this message because of me thawing my credit today (possibly hasn't cycled through yet) or I'm not in their system. I found out I was pre-qualified for 13.99% but that was using my old address. For the application, I obviously put my current address and got the message.

This should hopefully be the start of a "spree" but I hope it doesn't start off on the wrong foot.

Re: 7-10 day for Chase Freedom

If you have a different address than what's on your report, the 7-10 day message may just be for verification. If you had a pre-qualified offer with a specific APR you should be good. As to whether or not you'll get the $200 cashback offer, I'm not sure. You should since you app'd in time, but who knows. If you do get approved and they don't give it to you, I would just call or email customer service and explain your situation. Chase is pretty good at making things right.

a CSR told me this week that as long as you applied thru a valid link then you should get the offer. I applied on the 20th and its pending final approval from their fraud dept due to an alert I placed on my file. My concern was that if they approved after the deadline is miss out on the bonus offer that enticed me to the card to begin with. He told me going through the link ties the offer to your application. If this proves false then I will cite that recorded conversation. good luck on your app.

As long as you applied prior to the program ending, you'll fall under it. It doesn't matter if you're approval comes after the deadline, you're already in.

The answer to both is YES.  Call and if you get approved, you will get the bonus also.  What are your scores and how does your credit profile look like?

Approved after verification!

Ended up calling what I think was a recon line and was told it was a verification issue (pretty sure it was the address). The gentlemen was nice enough to give me my reference number and the number to call them at (possibly the fraud line???). Spoke with a nice lady who verified my information and put me on hold to finalize the application. Came back on the line to say I was instantly approved for 13k. I honestly didn't think much of it as I just had my old BoA card raised to 12k and I really don't see myself needing that much for a rewards card, but I'll take it haha.

And for those wondering, yes I still qualified for the $200 sign up bonus. When I called a third time to find out my APR and such, the CS rep was passionate about telling me I qualified for the $200 bonus haha.
