723 true FICO score,, should I ask for WM MC or store card ? Rebuild

True FICO 723 on TU, 1 open account showing,  2 closed, no baddies. History 20 + yrs but no activity for 15 yrs.

Gotta start somewhere,  could this get in with the Wal-Mart brand ?

Can't do EQ or EX right now, waiting for baddies to fall off.

Maybe somebody else with my profile will let me in !!

With a 723 TU, you should be good for a WM MC.. if you REALLY want a WM cobranded card.. There are better options than a WM card, IMO.. Have you thought about Barclays? They are generally a TU puller... and the interest rate is probably a LOT better than anything that Sychrony has to offer..

NFCU $60.4k/PenFed $22.5k/Commerce $15K/53 $11K/Synovus $14K/BBT $11K/CapOne $12K/DCU $7.5K/BMO $7.5K/Chase $14.5k/Cabelas $10K/ and many many more!
Total CL $398600, plus car and RV loan.
Ooh. Ooh. Getting closer to that $500K mark!

u

Thanks, yes, I have thought about Barclay's. .just wanna TRY to be sure for a TU puller, at this point to begin the credit ...steps !

I realize nothing is absolute in pulling TU but, it seems like WM or Barclay might be the best shot at this point !

Gotta a "pre-approved" offer from Cap-1 to apply for their Quick Silver, based on my "credit profile " they peeked at, but upon the pre-equal site for them, it was the Platinum Card offer.

Currently have an 18 month old inquiry on TU only, my EQ is show FICO 578 (btw, FAKO on CreditKarma is 724 on same report) with 2 baddies I'm hoping that will fall within a couple weeks. Just wanna steer clear of them and EX, at this point.
EX says they have "no score available " !! They do show all the history, closed, good CC's I had back in the day, 2 paid installment loans (old), but a paid judgement and NO active CC !

Just starting out...trying to establish good lines and rid those 2 baddies while TU is clean.

Barclay may be the best route for establishing a line, for now !

Which card...for my situation ??

Navy Federal Credit Union is another solid one to consider for one of their cards, as they are a TU puller as well. Smiley Happy

Re: Navy Credit

I don't know the qualifications for membership but, my father was a U. S. Sailor, 8 yrs, in the Korean Conflict/Vietnam.

I tried join after college but denied upon my deployment date due to medical records they found from the initial enlisted date and boot camp dates .

I may be,waaayy off on their requirements, just don't know !

Thankfully now if you don't meet their regular eligibility requirements, there is a way in for you , just research Navy Fed /Navy League San Diego chapter on here and you will see what you need to do to get in there with them. They are a great CU and really really generous . I would go with them over anyone else ..actually I did choose to start my building with them and I'm happy I did.

If you try for the walmart mc, maybe you should try for the Ssms club mc as you can also use it in walmart and seems to be a great card, just ask UncleB Smiley Happy

WM MC almost always pulls TU, BUT, they CAN pull Ex once in a while, with no rhyme or reason. I dont think I have ever seen Barclays pull anything but TU
