I have the Travel Advantage version (identical except that instead of 5% for groceries and 3% for gas and ev, it gives 5% for gas and ev and 3% for groceries). The only issue I've had is if you report zero balances. There's been some kind of glitch where when you redeem rewards for cash you can only get a statement credit up to the statement balance, so if you don't report balances on your statement you couldn't do the redemption online.
That's also been a problem lately with my Bread Amex Cashback. I've read in another thread that this is a recent technical problem that Comenity has said they will fix, although they don't seem to be in a hurry to do it. They might be the most technologically-challenged bank I've ever seen, and I've also seen PenFed 🥴
Yeah they told me several times they were working on a fix, but I think that's just something they say
It seems to me that it would be a very simple programming fix. Change the variable "statement balance" to "current balance" and you're done. Should take around 5 minutes.
You may be right. Given how messed up their technology is, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a simple fix they're incapable of handling, or if their system was so badly put together that it's somehow become a complicated task.
It amazes me that they haven't put together a phone app yet, but they may have simply figured that it wouldn't pay off them. And if that's the case, they might even be right.
Id go for it.
Didnt know they did 5% on grocery stores. You will prolly get a few thousand dollar limit too assuming your incoming is at least 50-60-70K and you aren't drowning in high DTI.
HOWEVER, changing the address on the pre approval might cause an hiccup getting an immediate approval.
I have the same offer in my email. I stopped in AAA for an insurance quote and the CS rep rminded me that I had the offer and it was expiring soon. She specifically said I was preapproved.
I say change the info and go for it.

I'm pretty sure the preapproval wasn't for me lol. I changed the info and submitted it, because I thought the auto fill address was an AAA address, and I got a message saying they'd contact me in 7-10 days. I just checked the specific street address though, and it's for someone with the same last name 😳 oh well, that's gonna be a fail. Idk how that happens though.
I did but I don't think it was actually for me. The address is for someone else with the same last name, but idk. When I submitted the app it said they'd get back to me in 7-10 days 🤞🏼
