And by the way you could get the 3% card through AOD instead of a 2% card. Something to think about or you could get both!
Lol....😉😁, hey it's true though, might as well get it and get it over with and let it start aging! I'm sure @AllZero will be along to help you choose among the many! 😉 Let me get out of his parking place! Lol.
@Anonymous. You earned it. It's a great parking spot. Excellent recommendation on the AOD card. No arguing against it. 😃 I want the AOD card too!
@VintageMel. There's a lot of cards out there. It'll be hard to stop at one.
Thank you all. I get so squeamish about anything dinging my score that I almost forget the point of having good credit is to be able to get credit. My other real worry is that I might spook AmEx if my scores suddenly drop. I know I can absorb a bit of a hit, I just wasn't sure how much of a drop I should expect, or how worried I should be about that.
I suppose there is some logic to applying for a couple of them. I can't say it isn't tempting...
@AllZero thanks especially for the enlightenment about cancelling the Experian subscription. Turns out my real scores are EQ 777, and TU 780.

@VintageMel You are welcome. Your EQ and TU scores look great.
Great advise from @Gmood1 and @Anonymous to apply for new cards before the auto loan closes.
As you stated, having good credit is being able to get credit. Get the cards that suit your spend and reward you with cash back or points.

Now you've got me thinking about what I might like to apply for as a second card. I've been doing some reading, and am finishing up my pro/con chart because I'm somewhat nuts.
Officially approved for a Citi DC, $5,800 limit! Now to finalize my other pick. I'm not completely sold on needing 3 more. I think two will suit my needs admirably. ![]()
