I received a $500 SL, which received an auto CLI to $1000 where it is now about 5 months in. This was my first card ever.

I usually just check CK.. I don't know where else to check that doesn't cost money I guess. Suggestions on that?

And I do not have any closed accounts. The only account I've ever had is my Discover cc so my AAoA is 1 year either way.

Yeah, I tried to check Chase's pre-qual website but it said that I've opted out of credit messages or something like that so they did not give me a response. I've never opted out of anything so I'm not entirely sure what that means.

Thanks for your help so far.

I would need to know your FICO scores, and the Vantage scores supplied by CK are meaningless in that regard.

The score on the Discover site is true Trans Union FICO 8, so that would be a meaningful score.

Tell me that and I'll tell you whether you're ready to apply for Chase Freedom or Freedom Unlimited.

Interesting. Do you know why Chase won't show them for 21 and under? Also I just checked my Discover Fico score. 724 so it's right in the middle of both my CK scores. Do you think I should apply for the Chase FU card?

Yes I think you're good to go with the Chase Freedom card or the Chase Freedom Unlilmited card.

But also, do you know how this will affect my AAoA? Will it cut it in half if I get approved? (Assuming they would average my Discover account and my new account together) or does it not work that way?

Yes of course it will decrease your average age of accounts, will add a new "newest account" age, and will add an inquiry.

You will rebound quickly if you lose a step.

My Discover Fico score is 724. My AAoA is 11 months going on a year. What do you think? Only one inquiry for the Discover card I have now with not a single missed payment and I always pay the balance in full every month.
