AMC Visa pre-approval but then

Hi, I got preapproved for the AMC Visa card on Friday for 4K. I was also preapproved for the OneKey card by Wells Fargo 4K. I decided to app for the OneKey card and then I went back and tried for the AMC Visa.

AMC sent an email saying:  "You're already approved! Finish your application to get your card."

After downloading the app and submitting the picture of my ID and selfie it then said:

"We need a little more time to make our decision. We'll send you an email with more details"

I'm guessing because I did the OneKey card first that it messed up my application? When I did the AMC application the second time after the OneKey card, it already saved my info from the first SP so I think the Wells Fargo INQ might of scared them? New here.

Absolutely funny how the computers do underwriting for different banks/lenders.  I was curious and tried the pre-approval tool for both of those same cards.  First, with the AMC card, I got a denial at pre-approval and then received an email stating the reason for denial was "past delinquent obligations with other lenders" and all that could be is from accounts from before my BK7, because there are some still on my CR's (some have dropped off) that reported as past due before I filed.

Then I tried the OneKey card and the pre-approval came back with a SL of $13K.  I was tempted to pull the trigger on it, but I'm not REALLY looking for any new cards right now, so I quickly closed that browser window lol.

It's just funny how two different banks give wildly different results like that.

ditto that, said I was APPROVED and finish up uploading ID's; so now I'm waiting for whatever is next?

Can you tell me what happened after they gave you that (we need a little more time to make our decision) message. I'm in the same situation I uploaded ID and Selfie then got that message. Were you still approved or did they just decline after?

Still waiting, it's been nearly a week since I spoke to the man on the phone for the identity verification crap!

I called just now and the gentleman by the name of Arthur collected my information again, and then he said that it looks like my application was just sitting there and had not been processed and that he will do the responsible thing and forward it to management for the decision, so, he said that I should hear back from them in about two to five business days, so, this is my last time I'm going to deal with this and I'm going to wait for a week and I will  uninstall the app and no longer be concerned with this ridiculousness, at least it's not a a hard pull on my credit report; that's a good thing!

Hopefully that's not a reflection of how managing, supporting. Processing payments  etc.. Will be once you finally get the card. 🤔

I thought about the card for pure nostalgia and then decided not to after reading the app headaches.

Honestly, I really don't know what to think, perhaps they are backlogged with applications, just guessing!?

same same..... WTH is going on!?!?  Mine said approved for $15,000 and stumbled exactly the same when I uploaded my id and selfie!

Same here.... it's been a month since I was approved and after the approval I followed the same pattern, upload and selfie. It's been crickets..... i gave up!
