AMEX 3X CLI Question

Hey guys, I'm looking to do an 3x CLI on my Blue Cash, and Im wondering since I just paid my credit card balance to 0$ and I confirmed with a rep that the account is now 62 days old as of today, should I be fine with going for an increase? Only reason why I'm making this post is because a rep told me that internally it takes 24-36 hours for payments to post on an account and I'm not sure if the computer seeing a balance still being there may influence the odds of a CLI being approved or not. Thanks for any info.

Re: AMEX 3X CLI Question

Ask for a CLI, The balance does not matter. IMHO

@K-in-Boston   had reported getting some of His best Amex increases while carrying balances.

Just keep in mind, Amex has tightened the purse strings during Covid-19

As always ..YMMV

Good Luck!

@Anonymous    I agree if they give in Unless you are Super High on your UTL a balance won't change their decision XD    Was the amount you paid to 0 a high percent of the Limit!?  (If you are like me and use 99% and pay big payments that is why I ask XD)

Since I got the card I've used up to I'd say 60-70% about twice on the first statement, with PIF, and on the second statement I used more so around 80% probably, and I made sure to do a ton of micro transactions as opposed to doing just a few large transactions before PIF. Honestly hoping I get this increase as I want to try and grow this card and my BoA Cash Rewards ($5,500 SL) to atleast $10,000 before I apply for a CSR next year March, which would make my current CF Unlimited a year old and my overall relation with chase about a year and 8 months.

Re: AMEX 3X CLI Question

@Anonymous      No I mean was the payment you were waiting to clear for example 900/1000 if so I would make sure it was cleared and reported before asking....if it was 100/3k then I say GO FOR IT!   XD

7-10 Day message, which isn't surprising that it's a denial because this card only has a 1K SL. Potentially a chance to get an increase after 91 days.

I'm not in the US as of now but I can try and contact the CLI team at AMEX as mentioned by a person who I talked at AMEX earlier, also I notice you have an card from AMEX aswell that has a 1K SL from 2018, have you not attempted to CLI that card often at all?
