AMEX 3X CLI

I was approved for the AMEX ED card with a CL of 1K on 2/24/15. When will it be best to ask for a CLI?? THANKS

I finally see the "Increase Line of Credit" option on my account, it wasn't there before. What does that mean?

Ask for the increase 61 days after the approval.

It is not guaranteed, but most people get the 3x increase, unless you happen to be me, then they wonder why they approved the card in the first place

The cli button showing up just means it showed up.  It is not indicative of anything other than your account is now setup fully.  You can ask for a cli whenever you want, but to improve your odds, wait 61 days.

More important than waiting 61 days, as that no longer has any effect on Amex CLIs, is to wait until after your scores improve quite a bit.  Right now they are borderline for even your initial approval so to ensure a reasonable chance at getting 3X your limit wait until they go up and then wait long enough for AMEX to have checked your file via SP.

Personally I would wait since you may have sqeaked by. Do you know if they double pulled your CR? Usually that means a marginal approval and it's best to give it a few months of history.

They did not double pull, no marginal approval. I Also got the AMEX PRG gold the same day, all with one HP. I posted about it that day and ppl were up in arms about how I got approved LOL.
