I recently came up on my 180 days, so I applied for the 3x cli. The response I received online was I would receive my response via mail in 7 to 10 days. I know more often than not that means no way. But, I pay my balance in full every month, sometimes multiple payments and have never been late. I make just under six figures, so I wouldn't think income is the issue. Am I over reacting to not getting an immediate approval online?
I would call and make sure that 180 days has passed also make sure your Exp credit score did not drop below 675 or so. I usually wait 182 days just to make sure.
Thanks doinit1 and andydenver86 im checking on it
YA, too many recent inquiries. Gonna have to garden for awhile

that is an interesting data point. Usually Amex seems to not really care about inquiries, or new accounts even.
Well, I do have to admit I'm jumping to conclusions. My Capitalone and 1st Nat. have both stated that my CLI's were declined due to "Too many recent inquiries" so I am assuming that this is true with AMEX. I figured I would wait for the letter from them.

So Amex denied your 3x cli? Seems really odd if so, unless your credit profile changed dramatically downward since you opened your account.
I had a CLI denied from AMEX recently for a change in score, dropped to just under 670, apparently their cutoff is right around that level.
