I called Amex back this morning (they had left a VM for me on Friday).. Delta Skymiles Gold approved!!! $1400 SL..

I am thinking it is going to be an approval for you as well. If you look at the timeframe, it took them approximately 14 days for mine. So, hopefully you will hear from them in the next four or five days. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
