AMEX BCP Offer

Hello myFICO'ers!!

First off: You all are an awesome source and I appreciate everyone who posts on here!

I rarely apply for anything but have been looking at the AMEX BCP for a few months now. I would be a new AMEX member and was playing around on the Pre-qual and saw this:BCP.jpg

I was already interested in the 6% cash back for groceries, but the Amazon 20% looks awesome! Really makes me want to pull the trigger! All scores are FICO in the 770's. But I was mainly posting this for others who might be interested! I think it's a pretty nice bonus for a pretty good card.

Also got the 100K MR and 10x grocery for the Platinum. STOP TEMPTING ME AMEX Smiley WinkSmiley LOL

Have a great day everyone!

Re: AMEX BCP Offer

That's an awesome offer! I've never seen an offer this good on the BCP!  Best wishes to you if you decide to apply!

Not sure if you want the Platinum more, but you might want to go for that one first.  You normally get your highest targeted offers on the Platinum until you become an Amex card holder. Check around in a private browser because sometimes there's a 125k offer for 1st time Amex Applicants.

Right??

You are almost at that 800 mark! I am trying to get there as well but these credit card companies won't stop with awesome SUBs! We will see what happens I suppose! Good luck in your gardening and getting to 800!!!!

I could totally see you getting the Platinum first and using that 10x on groceries offer for all 6 months.  That way you don't have the BCP also competing for your grocery budget spend. Once you are finished with the Platinum grocery offer you can then take advantage of the BCP 6% grocery spend and know you're getting the most out of that.

Re: AMEX BCP Offer

@Jordan23ww  This is why I love this forum! That honestly makes complete sense. On top of some travel I will be doing in the next 3-4 months as well. Might as well knock out a big SUB then app for the BCP at another 6 months. Thanks for the advice!
