Has anyone apped for an AMEX charge then revolver same day and NOT gotten a combined 1 INQ? Most everyone I've seen has gotten the combined 1 inquiry when they do this, but has anyone had any exceptions? Data points, if so?

I've never heard of it but I do know the sooner together you do the two apps the better. It isn't Amex who combines them.
It is the cRA.

Plus-with Amex if you are already a cardholder, which you would be after app #1.... if you are denied for the 2nd card there is no HP. This is the way it is today and every day After as long as you have one card with them. If you are approved, normally you get the HP then except if you already had one that day.

If you already applied for card #1 I would go for the 2nd as soon as you can. Like I said-the closer together they are the better.

I did this last year apped a revolver and a charge card back2back on same day and got 2 HP YMMV.

I got an instant approval and 1 inq for a BCP abd ED card. I appd the PRG the next day and got declined. Still just 1 HP. No prequals. With your EXP you should be good.

On 11/3/16 I was approved for the Green Card. Almost 20 hours later, the next day, I was apped for and was approved for BCE. It was only 1 HP.  GL

I did instant aprooval for BCE and ED using Safari and Google Chrome browsers. I was also prequalified for both. One HP, Experian pulled around 704

I apped 2 days ago for Delta and Gold, just 1 inq on mines.
