Is that your EX score? Amex looks at that. Cap 1 claims that the lowest SL for the QS will be $1k, guess that is not true.
Have you tried to prequalify on the AMEX website? If you haven't done so, I would recommend you doing so. If you get any pre-approvals then it's a solid offer most of the time. I do think that your current score is on the lower end of the Rewards cards so if approved they might start you off with a smaller limit. Good luck and report back when you do decide to apply.
The BCP would've been nice to start off with but as mentioned you should see what you pre-qualify for.
I went ahead and got the regular Blue Cash card to get my foot in the door. I'll garden then app for a BCP to replace it sometime in the future.
Just a suggestion, not an order. Good luck and keep us updated
Sorry to hear that OP. Hope the manual review works in your favor. Did you actually get pre-approved offers on the AMEX site or did you just cold apped? I figured your score would be too low for the revolvers, in case this does not work in your favor, just continue to get your scores up to at least 670 +, the higher, the better odds for approval.
I see. Unfortunately, AMEX is not known for overturning denials, regardless if they accept to manually review the application or not, you might still be met with a denial as a final decision. My guess is that your score will be the primary reason for the denial. On the upside, scores are something we can fix overtime. So as long as you work towards getting your history with your existing cards, and your scores go up, you should be able to get in with AMEX pretty soon. Best of luck.

If the review does not go in your favor, 670 is a good benchmark to go for. That is where their "good" score category begins. For point of reference, I was approved for the BCE at 673 and HH at 669.
