I opened a Delta Platinum on 5/29 and just passed my 61 days. Starting limit was $10,900, but I used the link at the beginning of the thread yesterday asking for $25,000 and was approved. I didn't want to risk asking for anything higher and it is a nice round number lol
At $10.9k SL, you could've gone up to $30k and probably still gotten approved (and still gotten a "nice, round number").
Possibly, but I didn't want to take any chances. It is my first revolver with Amex and I've read requesting over $25,000 on an individual card could prompt the review.
If you mean you're scared of a Financial Review, that's not what would happen. People often conflate FR with income verification. FR is when you're doing some shady spending/spending outside your usual patterns/limits. THAT triggers a FR, which is where your accounts are locked down until Amex investigates your account/finances and they're satisfied. This can sometimes lead to an account closure. An FR is also NOT optional.
I'm assuming you're referring to the old "anything over $35k" thing, which would merely be income verification. All that entails is providing some pay stubs or allowing them access to your bank account. IV IS optional and if you choose to not provide either, the request will simply be denied and nothing else happens. Also, it's not always rhe case that going up to and over $35k will trigger the IV. @Remedios can attest to this.

Correct
Amex can request income verification at any point. For some it might be for $5000.00, others completely different amount.
Also, it depends on how much you're asking for. If your limit is $20,000 and you want to triple it, pretty good chance IV is happening, hence recommendation not to push it as far as it can go unless willing to go through IV.
FR isn't synonymous with IV. FR is triggered by suspicious activity (suspicious is whatever Amex algorithm determines it to be, such as spending not proportional to income etc).
I was not asked for IV at all untill Reserve was $55,000.00. I was given option to upload 3 consecutive statements or one time bank account access.
It took about a week for them to process increase.

Yeah its saying the same thing for mine, opened on 5/5/22.

Maybe try after 91 days? Same for you, @TRC_WA. Also you're welcome for the info.
@OmarGB9 Looks like Amex fico score updates by the 12th UGH, that means another week to wait for everything lol
I finally have the link available when i clicked on it ! Just waiting because i dont want a possible denial or counter offer because of my score, last update on July 12th EX Fico on AMEX was 629 but on the EX app its up to 659. All other factors should good.
DPs
1990s - 1st card (green)
- closed same decade
- don't remember burning or not (likely not)
2/2022 open new card 1k SL
- never had amex revolver
5/2022 1st CLI for 3x @94th day
8/2022 CLI link shows opportunity to CLI again @94th day from last CLI?? weird!
-requested 3x
-got 7-10 day message (i will bet underdog and hope for 3x CLI - will keep MF posted)
8/2022 day later CLI link says error/page not available or something
8/2022 couple days later CLI link shows opportunity again for CLI.
-requested 3x
-got 7-10 day message again
I have never seen the CLI button. Only used CLI link upthread.
Never seen pre-approvals.
YAYA YMMV
I tried at 63 days, no luck, too new of an account. I have seen a change in my offers however. It lists other cards. It did not do that for the first 2 months. Only saw discounts at retailers. I hit the apply button while logged in for offers. No pre-approval love. Not sure I want another amex at this point in time. But it will be nice to know that if I choose to get another it would be there. Then make sure I don't hit a wrong button while playing. I've seen those threads before, lol.

Try again after 91 days. Or even 101+ days.

Just to update for DP:
-got the denial letter for "too many requests for credit" as the only reason (true I am 15/12)
-no FICO score with letter so they must be using internal or last SP which is EX8 at 690 per Amex app/site
-no AA my CL is unchanged
-the CLI link still shows the opportunity to request...
I will try again at +91 days from my 8/2022 request OR for scientific purposes, any moves up on my EX8 score per Amex - just to see. Good luck with your 3x's!
