AMEX CLI question

I applied for CLI last night and i got the dreaded 7 to 10 day message which im sure is a decline! i then recieved a email about 40 mins later from amex regarding my CLI stating that they had reviewed my request and that i  could call regarding status. should i even bother calling or leave it alone since i think its an automatic denial.

It's up to you, but it wouldn't hurt to call and see what's up.

i do but i would hate to be told your denied! haha i would rather a computer notify me.Smiley Very Happy

I got this email too - when I called they told me I was not eligible for a CLI because it had not yet been 90 days since my last request. I didn't know my last request counted because that one wasn't 90 days from the first one, and I was mainly trying for entertainment purposes. 

 

Be advised though, I had to speak to new accounts - not regular CSR to get this info. Good luck!

and for reference, the number I had to call was 1-800-576-8942
