I look at it as - 50k points = free trip to Hawaii for 1x annual fee of $95 - or take the trip and cancel it before the year is up.

FYI- OP wrote on another post that he just got approved for the Delta and Green Card.
It was a great feeling, my score creeped up 10 points, must have been enought get the APPROVE!!
