AMEX ED app "in progress"

I decided to app for the AMEX Premier rewards gold and AMEX ED this morning for backdating. I already have the AMEX BCE $7.5K limit at 14.99%. I was rush approved the for the AMEX PRG then I decided to app for the AMEX ED immediately after. The app came back "in progress". Does anyone have any experience with this? Will the AMEX ED be a hard pull?

I just had this happen to me after applying for a BCP (approved instantly) and then an EDP the next day, which showed up as "In Progress." It was subsequently cancelled (after about three business days) with the reason that I had too many applications within too short a time period, or something to that effect. I probably should have applied after a 30 day wait. By the way I already have a Costco card with them as well, approved last month. Your mileage may vary. I didn't call to appeal, since I was having second thoughts about getting the EDP anyway. I just saw one hard pull for the BCP.

Wait about 5 days between applications. I applied for Amex ED on Dec 17 and was approved. Applied for Amex BCE on Dec 28 and was approved. In boths apps, I was approved instantly. I received two hard pulls.

My experience with two revolvers (bcp and Ed) is the held one card in limbo before processing the 2nd app. 2 Hp's.
