I was approved 2 weeks ago for $7,000 with AMEX EveryDay...$5,000 of which I could use for a BT. I ended up doing a $5,000 BT from my Discover IT card at the time of application. So far, it's been stuck in "pending" and AMEX has no updates. The BT with Discover is really just as vanilla as a BT can be, so I'm not sure why it's taking so long. I'm not exactly pulling my hair out over it, but I would like it to be done soon, as I already talked to Discover, and they said they would remove the residual interest for this month, if the card was paid off by the next statement date (which is on the 2nd of each month, i.e. about 12 days from now).
Wondering how long it took everyone else who had an EveryDay card to complete their BT's? AMEX's standard line about BT time frames is 5-7 business days.

Sometimes lenders are slow in processing BT's, some tell you it can take up to 14 days.
I suggest you call a live Amex CSR and Inquire.
Same happened to me. Got a new Blue Cash Everyday, thought "why not do a BT for my current TD Visa balance" and did a transfer for $558. A month later my Visa bill was about to be due so I just paid it and called Amex to cancel the trransfer.
They said they would.
Needless to say two days later I had $558 sittting on the Visa card I wanted to sock drawer. So my groceries (2% category) are paid for a while.
So, a bit more information here - I looked back at old emails, and got a new one from AMEX. The initial email that they sent (the same day I applied/was approved) was "We’re excited to let you know we’ve received your balance transfer request and are processing it now."
I just got an email two days ago that they made a "decision" about my balance transfer request (which I obviously thought was already approved). Anyway, it was that it was approved, and date was December 21st...So, it looks like things will probably move along pretty quickly from here on out.
Hopefully, someone in the future with the same issues will see this thread, and will maybe get information out of it!
I had a similar experince on my BBP, it felt like a whole month went by. But it was probably twoo weeeks. lol
I always mkae sure I have a full 30 days before e payment is due though, as not to encounter any problems. Or I make the minimum payment on it and BT the remainder.
Though honestly Amex does feel like the slowest at BT's, Citi and Discover can be done within 2 days. And my local CU is instant.
A recent BT with Chase also felt a little slow. Though that one was done by one of their checks.
