AMEX Financial Verification for CLI question...

I have 3 AMEX cards and a business line of credit. the total amount of credit is abouyt $55k.  I hit the CLI on my persnal account which is at $12k.  asked for an $8k increase and was hit with the message top connect my bank or upload bank statements.  I'd prefer not to do that because I have a number of accounts I use for diect deposit and I'm using my wifes income as part of the houdsehold income.  I hit cancel but its now waiting for me to either upload or connect banks accounts.  I actually tried to connect a few of my accounts and i got an error for one bank, and other banks are not even on the list.  Should I call and explain that and send documents or just wait the waiting period for it to be denied?  I would like to maybe request a smaller amount and not go through the income verification if possible.

Re: AMEX Financial Verification for CLI question...

I'm following this one. I too was asked for bank statements a few months back. 1 personal card at 40k. I use multiple accounts as well for deposits. I attempted uploading a tax return and they said, bank statements only. I let mine expire. I had asked for 5k I believe.

I've skipped over similar requests and have found the additional information request goes away in a short time.

Re: AMEX Financial Verification for CLI question...

you can allow the request to expire, there shouldn't be any adverse impact for doing so.

they might send a few emails and call once or twice, but you can just let that go to voicemail. there's a specific number for an underwriting department they'll have on the emails that you can call and speak to specifically somebody from underwriting to withdraw the request, but I would just let it expire.

hopefully with more time or asking for less next time it lets you ask, you can get a CLI without an IV request.

Re: AMEX Financial Verification for CLI question...

I've let a request expire once and then went back to request a much lower amount after the request disappeared and was approved.
