Mom pulled the trigger over the phone last night for the AMEX GOLD card and got transfered over to the New Accounts Team who then told her he could not bypass the security and decision it and it would be 3-5 days before she would know an answer I have never heard of this can anyone shed some light on this. She did also pulled the trigger on a SYNCH backed furtinure card and was instanty approved for 8K.
EX score currently is a 745 and she has been with AMEX since the 90's.
I believe to the overwhelming on the new applications and also Amazon new credit card application- the system is slow- my wife also got en 3-5 day information when we called and this morning at 1 AM we got our approval email.
