Is the Green Card the introductory NPSL card?  I currently have the PBCC...Delta, and the EDBC...lookin at getting a NPSL card...Have 25 inq on ex in last yr, 15 of which are from dealer shot gunning for auto loan....

Log in to you Amex account online and see what you prequalify for. There may be more than just the green card (NPSL) you prequalify for. Maybe you will have the choice of the gold rewards or even the platinum card (be aware of the 450 AF). Good thing about Amex is once you are a card holder, there will be no hard pull for additional cards.

So, just an FYI, the Amex PRG ($195 AF) has the same annual fee as the Amex Green ($95 AF) card, if you have a use for the $100 airline credit every year. It also earns twice as many points at restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations.

If you already have a card with AMEX you can't "pre-qual" for one online.  There may be an offer though sent to your e-mail for either a new card or an upgrade from an existing one.  As to the OP question.... All of the "charge" cards are NPSL but do have internal limits based on spending patterns.

No, you can't turn a revolver into a charge card, or vice versa. BCE is a revolver, green is a charge card.
