Applied for a AMEX Gold Delta Skymilles card, CB pulled was Experian and it was denied due to Bankruptcy.

In 21 days I will be , 5 years post Bankruptcy.

Starting Fico 8 Scores (4/17): EQ: 510 EX: 510 TU: 525
Current Fico 8 Scores : EQ: 674 EX: 678 TU: 676

Was AmX included in the BK? If yes, it could take 15-20 yrs to get back in. If no, depending on CH7 or CH13, could take 7 or 10 years. Definitely has to fall off your report.

No. I haven't had an AMEX before.

In my opinion it's actually easier to get a charge card like the AMEX Gold or Green, than a revolver.
After about 3mo. if your EX score is 650 or better try for one of the charge cards.

I'm 4 months shy of 6 years since my BK and was approved 2 weeks ago for the Delta Gold with a 695 score. Give it 3 months and try again. I applied every 6 months for 3 years and they finally broke down.

More than happy as Amex is a card I never had and always wanted. Next will be a charge card (Was denied with a soft pull the following day on the Delta pull) in 3 months.

I think you pulled the trigger a little too soon. I believe that with Amex, it has to be a minimum of 5 years post-bk.

Five years plus one month is what I’ve seen repeatedly here. After that timeframe, if your scores are sufficient, and your profile looks good, they’ll give you a card. Not until then though.
