CSP 1Up'd Everyone

So Chase just upped the ante for the competition, concerning travel rewards cards. Previously, a newly approved applicant would stand to receive the annual fee waived for the first year including 50k points after $4,000 worth of spending in the first three months.

Not bad. You guys already knew that.

Now the deal has been sweetened. No annual fee waiver, instead, 60k points with the same thresholds, which offsets the annual fee and then some (this isn't taking into consideration the 4k points you'll receive in rewards to meet the sign on bonus threshold)

This is the last card I'm trying to get before heading to the garden, but I'm nervous my score isn't up to par. Or should I just forego it and look away? Who has applied and approved for the CSP with a sub 700? I hear success stories, but you all are far more informative. Enlighten me?

Re: CSP 1Up'd Everyone

Assuming those are FICO scores from your signature, what's keeping them at that level?  Also, of the 4 CCs listed, are any of those CLs ~5K or greater?  AAoA?

Do the prequal from another popular credit website affiliate and it's 70K instead...much better.

@FinStar

Yes, they are FICO. The two Chase cards are at 3k apiece and Cap1 has stalled me for years, >1k. I am anticipating about a five point increase across the board for April. What harms me the most are two lates from two years ago and a four year old charge off (all of which were beyond my control but have had no luck at removal). AAoA is right around 2.5 years. My spending power is back up. I have been rebuilding and I have a 72k annual income, keep my utilitz less than 6%

Re: CSP 1Up'd Everyone

Aside from the lates or sub-700 scores, the only thing that might be a "hurdle" to overcome, is the minimum SL for CSP is $5K.  Your income and low utilization appear to be in line, but it may be 50/50 at best given the absence of established history with CLs in that capacity.

@SecretAzure

I see. Plus, an additional 5,000 just for adding an authorized user. Alas, I may just end up holding out.

The annual fee for the CSP is $95 and the increased SUB is 10,000 MR, the equivalent of $100 so its basically a wash ( you get an extra 50 MR points with the new format).

Also want to point out that you get a minimum of 64,000 MR points after meeting the spend for the SUB; not 64,000 MR points in addition to the sign up bonus.

@MaizeandBlue

Thank you. 64k total after SUB and earned points. I will edit as not to spread misleading information.

Re: CSP 1Up'd Everyone

Lol. I hope so, because I assumed UR's were in play.

Also, I know the low SL is basically the hurdle. Any chance my banker could push for approval? 🤣👀
