Hey guys long time lurker here, I recently opened up 5 new TL back in October and have been very good wth them so far. I was looking to get an AMEX PRG to help me with my horrendous habit of overspending and carrying a balance for long. A charge card would help me focus on what im spending month to month and not buy large items. What are my chances?

A friend of mine did the same thing to limit their spending and it is working well. I'm to smart for that. I'll just reach in the safe and grab a revolver when i need to float so ehh, lol
I would wait till you reach 6 months and grab what you need (that works for me), but being you aren't looking for a certain limit because it's not a revolver. you never know. Either way it's a SP if you don't. No harm no foul.

What are your scores? Any baddies? Amex is not inquiry sensitive and known to pull Experian. But whatever they pull will be based on your state/ region. The best way to gauge the ranges and scores people were approved at is to consult the credit pull database.
Just google it as it can't be linked here and there, you will be able to type in your state, the card and it will give you a snapshot of scores people were approved at.

When they sent me the revolver that I apped for (the Delta that I badly wanted), they had me at 703 EX. They did give me a 5 digit limit on it. I thought about applyin for the PRG but I had just came from NFCU and had apped for the Plat MC and had gotten approved -also for a high limit. So, I thought about not pushing my luck.
No baddies, lates, nothing.
