AMEX Green Chances

I've recently reached a milestone with a rebuild (currently at 697 on Experian, UTL is 41% will be 25% on July 7th, so I'll be over 700), and I'm looking to get an AMEX Green and an Wells Fargo/AMEX Propel.

Part of my rebuild was paying off an AMEX balance from 2009 ($275, that was CO during the Great Recession, but I don't know if we can call it that anymore), which I did this past May (after learning that the unpaid balance will harm any future AMEX apps), so I figure in July I'll be in the clear with AMEX, internally.

The other part of my rebuild was getting enough distance from 4 30-day lates from Nov 2018 through Feb 2019 (on a Cap1 QS that's paid down to 20% of CLI), so I know that AMEX does a thorough financial profile, has enough time passed since the last 30-day late? Or does it make sense to wait another 3 or 6 months?

Starting Score: 447 - 5/2019, FICO 9 by Wells Fargo
Current Score: 732 - 1/2022, FICO 9 by Wells Fargo
Goal Score:770

Re: AMEX Green Chances

Check the site for prequalified offers. They’re usually pretty reliable.

I was approved in March and I have 90 day lates February 2015 & April 2018

Re: AMEX Green Chances

Well as far as your EX score, I would say it's good for AMEX. You can have mine 😂 I'm kinda regretting getting it since we can't travel. But like someone said, the prequals are pretty good.

Re: AMEX Green Chances

There wasn't a Pre-Qual link on the AMEX site... so I'm going wait until my Cap1 reports at zero balance on July 14th before applying.
