I applied for the Platinum card this past Sunday and it has been "in progress" ever since.
My question is should i call the recon line now or wait until i hear something from them?
I have one other Amex that was instant approval.
I would not wate, give them a call it can't hurt get out infront of situation.
@Anonymous would you please elaborate on applying for a card with huge annual fee while simultaneously discussing charging off cards then disputing charge offs and/or bankruptcy
This is.. well, this is definitely not cool.
I just went to other posts that you made, If you are going to apply for new credit with Idea of going bankrupt in the near future then that is out right fraud and not legal. I take back any advice I gave, don't want to be part of this. I did burn bumch of creditors in the past for lot of money when I went blind, emotioamlly it not good you thing you are beating the system your not.
Previous post was in relation to a family member who was facing the possibility of being laid off but has since
learned they are not and isnt related to this topic.

Well, I'm sure confused. A thread that starts off with "I am considering filing Chapter 7" doesn't seem to me like a discussion that centers on a family member.
Apped for an AMEX and got hit with the 4506-C request. Reading some of the posts on this topic, I was
hoping someone can provide a little more information. My stated income on the application is $120k with
the majority of that coming from 1099 self employment income which is listed on my schedule C. After expenses my
net is roughly 30% of that. My question is do they look at the schedule C's gross as income or only the net as total
income to verify the amount listed on the app?
@Anonymous-- two American Express threads threads have been merged as they are practically associated with your initial AmEx application and its process. Please refrain from posting multiple threads as responses from the community can be easily condensed on one thread if it is all related to the same topic (i.e. AmEx application). Thanks.
