AMEX Platinum 125,000 Offer

I prequalified once again for the AMEX Platinum 125,000 offer.

Do you think its worth pushing the application button for? Enough credits there to offset the AF?

Re: AMEX Platinum 125,000 Offer

If you were to cash out the MRs at $0.06, that's $750, so I think it's worth it.

I wonder if you can get this offer with the Schwab Platinum.

If you otherwise find the card to be useful I think 125k is the best offer you're going to get. At least until the end of this year, the wireless/streaming credits are easy to use and could eliminate a large portion of your annual fee. Beyond that it's the usual Uber credit, airline fee credit, etc which are definitely not as easy to use.

Nope.  Although there is an arguement to be had taking the schwab plat at 60k offer as chased out at 1.25c per mr and the streaming and cell phone credit, etc..  Most useful time to get schwab platinum if you have ever thought about it before..

Another option would be to take the points to Choice or Hilton for around a 1ccp redemption.

Its not great but would be enough to cover 4 nights at the beach.

Thinking about the AMEX Green as an alternative. At $150 that AF is only $12.50 a month. If I decide instead that I just want to buy some travel I can get 3x from it.

I was planning to pick it up later this year as I intend to get the bonvoy at the end of the month. I understand their reasoning for not offering. Cashing out the 60k at 1.25 equals $750 as well. If there isn't a larger sub that they offer, then it really doesn't matter about when I get it before my trip.
