AMEX Prequal site

Hello Everyone,

I check on the AMEX credit guide site and lead me to check on the page if I was prequalified, the below show up

Are the real offers or it's just giving me a random selection of cards?

Thank you for the replies in advance

Re: AMEX Prequal site

The Amex pre-qualified offers are pretty reliable, but nothing is guaranteed.

50k/4k on the Gold is outstanding.  Delta Gold gets up to 70k every now and again.  Whether they're solid offers is always "your mileage may vary" with Amex.

Re: AMEX Prequal site

Yes, Amex offers are pretty reliable. You’d have a better chance being approved if under the “Rates & Fees” section shows a single apr instead of a range. Like it’s been said though, no guarantees.

Re: AMEX Prequal site

They are hit or miss. It told me I was pre-qual for the AMEX gold, applied and was shot down. 6 months later applied and approved for BCP. Depends on what type of baddies you have. I had a BK7 that hadn't reached 5 years post yet. Once 5 years hit, got approved. Good luck, cheers!

Re: AMEX Prequal site

i think you have a really high chance of getting approved from those prequalifies.

i just applied for one of the prequalifications on amex (platinum) and was approved.

my scores were just fair when i applied.

good luck!

Re: AMEX Prequal site

As long as there is no BK in the past 5 years, no previous bad experience with Amex, and your Experian FICO 08 scores are decent (mid 600s), those should be very solid offers.  If you are considering the Delta card, I would strongly suggest either getting a referral from a friend or family member or waiting until the public offer increases substantially.  The larger offers can easily be worth $500 (or even more) more than the standard 35,000 mile offer.

Re: AMEX Prequal site

Hi there,

I was rather skeptical about the prequal page also ... I applied and was approved recently for the Gold Delta card.

Co Branded Cards are generally easier to get than the actual Charge card even thoughh I was pre qualified for all of the above mentioned. Really wanted to get my foot in the door and create a relationship with AMEX before actually applying for the Charge Card. Good Luck and please let us know the results.
