Hey Guys
Not so long ago I was at the AMEX prequalification portal and after much thought and after many denials I applied and lo and behold I was approved for a Delta SKY Miles Gold Card, this is great I think to myself anyway a week has gone by approximately and by mistake on the account page I clicked on the qualified offers link well not thinking anything of it I see that I am prequalified for a myriad of AMEX Cards kind of perplexed I was wondering should I apply for a second card or just age the one I have.
If you already have an Amex card, login into your account and goto the new credit cards and click on the one you are interested. Click apply, it should pop up and say you are pre-approved at the top. If it says adding new cards is easy, etc then you are not pre-approved.
What's your profile look like? Scores, usage, HPs, etc, and what was your limit on the Delta card? Those answers would help us get a better feel for where you stand.

Thanks GatorGuy !!!!! just out of curiosity I tried anyway wasnt surprised. It is my first Amex and I am pretty stoked for being approved for the Gold Card the CL is nothing to write home about but its enough to pay por gas and other expenses.
I asked specifically about the limit because a sub-$2000 approval is seen as borderline and indicates that you just squeaked in. If that's the case, hold off as further approvals likely won't be any better. Start with a $5k approval and yeah, a second card is probably worth a shot if you can benefit from it.

If you have an open Amex card, then all new credit card apps are 99.5% soft pull. So if you want to, pull that trigger

I really appreciate the advice and really this is a breath of fresh air since I have gone through many personal tribulations which affected a once 811 credit ( which has me constantly depressed) anyway I would like to personally thank you since those are the questions that should be asked.
@Anonymous as an AMX cardholder future cards are SP. If you have less than 3 CCs total then apply for a second AMX. If you are at 3 or more then wait until your CR improves IMHO.

Fixed for accuracy.
