AMEX apply or not apply

Just messing around on the amex website. At least once a week I see if I pre qualify for any cards, and I finally received  a hit. I know pre qualified doesn't mean automatic approval. I'm just wondering my odds really. AMEX.jpg

It's only a EX HP .... Is it a card that you could really use? .. keep in mind the AF.

It's a great travel card, but you have to spend a significant amount to get the value for your AF. Lots of perks, Uber credits, Global entry, and max points for travel. Again, only good if you travel a lot.

My fiance was about to add me as an AU to the same card, shes active duty military so the AF is waived for her. I can really hold out until 10 days and just get the AMEX from NFCU.

That fico score might be a problem with Amex. You may want to work on getting that score higher. Being at 700 or higher would be good in Amex's eyes.

It's going to be tough to get in with Amex with that score.  Any other derog beyond the 1 late?
