Re: AMEX blue everyday vs CITI

Hey y'all,

I was prequalified for the AMEX blue card today and they gave me a hard APR- does this mean I likely would be preapproved? My FICO: EX 715,

TU: 703, EQ: 738. I have quite a few Citi cards recommended as well(via Experian, Credit Karma). My income is $32000. I recently was approved for a Discover with a $7500 SL, and a Mercury MC at $1500. I paid off my Oportune with a BT from Disco. My income is low but I have no mortgage, no student loans(paid off). Would y'all pull the trigger on AMEX or look at some Citi offerings? Which of the 2 companies offer a higher SL, typically speaking(I want to keep my UTI down)? If anyone has a Citi card, how do you like it? Thanks in advance. My 32k income does not include my self-employment. I usually pull in $1000/monthly thereby, giving me a $44000 income. Thanks in advance.

The Credit Karma things are not prequalifications or preapprovals, they are just marketing.

The Citi cards aren't easy to get, but some of them are quite useful if you can get one.

The Amex Everyday card is only worth something if you can make good use of Amex MR points.

If you like cash back, I think you would find the Citi Rewards+, the Citi Double Cash, or the Citi Custom Cash very useful.
