please list your monthly spend and its categories like dining, gas, groceries, travel, and general spend. If you fly on delta amex Membership Rewards make sense. I've had great luck with my Amex ED, PRG, and Delta Card.
Right now the delta has 50k miles plus $50 after 2k spend, unless its targeted offer then its only 1k spend. Using that 1 experian inquiry you can also grab the PRG charge card that must be paid in full monthly, and it has 50k MR points after 1k spend, which transfer 1-1 to delta. PLUS $100 in airline gift cards now, and another $100 after Jan 1st. No AF the first year on either card! Pretty easy to book a round trip domestic flight for 25k points!
If you want the simplest of all routes, go for the CSP as it pairs well with your Freedom. Not to mention the bonus.
