I have an everyday card and i guess I missed the cut off for the free year of amazon prime so i called to see if i could get it. the CSR said no but i was eligible for a BCE perferred which came with it. So after asking if i could get the BCE then pay off the ED debt and keep the BCE she said yes so i told her to sign me up. Well I wind up getting declined for low fico now. I feel like an idiot, is there anything I can do as far as calling them back and complaining??

Nope; AMEX tends to stand firm by their credit decisions, unless there was an error on your credit report. Sorry to hear about the denial, but best of luck in your credit journey!
i dont understand how they said i was eligible for the preferred and i said i didnt want the preferred i would take the regular card and she said its ok youre eligible
what if i call back and just try the regular one not preferred, or am i screwed??

I'm really sorry that happened to you, but from your OP it appears that even now you have a misunderstanding of terminology that MAY have led to confusion during your discussion with the CSR. There is no such thing as a BCE Preferred, only the BCE and the BCP. So perhaps the CSR misunderstood what you were getting at or vice versa. Definitely too bad you missed out on that free year of Amazon Prime, in any case.

They typically won't take the same application and determine if you're eligible for the lower tier version. What's your profile look like? Seems like you've done a good deal of apping lately, hence the low FICO score.
Just relax, give it another 6 months, and do another go-round. The good thing is if you were denied the BCP while you had the Everyday, you likely did not incur a hard pull, so no harm, no foul.
i meant blue cash preferred that was my mistake in typing. the only card i recently got was a chase sapphire last month and any other card i got was over the summer.
my experian is at 650 the other 2 are at 680 and i know AMEX uses experian
my question is now bc of these denials does this affect my CLI that im eligilbe for next month?
No. It will not effect your cl. At yes. 650 is kind of low. Be lucky you got everyday with that. They wanted to push more of those cards out. But if you give it time. Say a year. You will be able to get any amex you want. Regardless of score.
