AMEX reporting to CB and 3X CLI question

Wondering how much time Amex takes to report the balances to CB? I got the card in Feb and I pif the first statement and next week, second statement will be generated.

Also, my scores are around 650. Do you guys think it's wise to go with CLI request? Recent credit history and thin file. No derogs or baddies.

Amex usually takes 2-3 months to report a new card.  Also, in order to answer your second question, is this your first Amex?  Do you have any credit cards now?

Yes. This is my first credit card with Amex. My oldest card is from BoA, 2 years. I got Amex and Capital one business classic (this reports to my personal) in feb 2017. I also got a secured loan from Wells Fargo. Everything is now on my cb except Amex. I got approved for NFCU cash rewards card also last week. I am yet to get it.

Amex reported to CB right after the 2nd statement cut for my BCE

For me, AMEX reported after the second statement, but we've seen reports here of them taking longer. Given that I knew it would cause a slight ding in my scores, I wasn't in any rush for them to report.

Make sure you have 61 days under your belt before applying for a CLI.

Hey guys, today I pulled the trigger for 3X CLI after confirming with CSR about account opening date. It was opened in mid of feb. Paid both statement balances in full before due date. Utilization on this card alone is 20%.

Original limit is 10k, salary is close to 60k. CLI requested was for 30k. It was instant approval. When I checked the mobile app, it is showing the increased limit already. Thank you guys for your inputs.
