AOD CLI Process

Does AOD still ask you to do a whole new credit application when it comes to attempting for a CLI?

Once I get to under 5/24 I plan on finally getting/attempting a Chase FF and then I wanted to try for a CLI

for my AOD (in that order).

AOD really needs to wake up and smell the 2020's and allow their customers to attempt a CLI online and without submitting a whole new credit app Smiley LOL

Re: AOD CLI Process

Hey @Wavester64, yep AOD hasn't changed much, which is fine so long as they let us continue to use our Visa Sig's. My understanding is that CLI's are still similar to the process for a new account app. It'll be an an HP on Equifax and might require POI (depending on how much you ask for), you may as well go for 25k max. The good thing is that the account will keep the same number and payment history, even though it looks like a new app.

So I apped for a CLI on my AOD Signature VISA today and I followed the process of having to submit a whole new application and this is the response I am getting :

"...Good evening, I am just getting with you regarding you credit card application. I see you have a signature credit card which gives you 3% back on any purchase. Unfortunately, we no longer offer the Signature Visa Card for new applicant or for credit limit raises but we do have an option to possibly raise your credit limit if approved but it would have to be with our Platinum Visa CardThe Platinum Visa Card earns 1% cash back on all purchases and an additional 1% cash back on Gas and at Restaurants. Please let me know if you would like to continue your application with our Platinum Visa Card?.."

?? So now what? Smiley Frustrated

That's a bummer for sure @Wavester64, but I would push back on that. While we know the VS isn't available for new apps, I have a hard time believing that line increases aren't available for existing accounts. I would call in and speak to a couple different sources  before concluding this as fact. Hopefully the account reps are still as friendly and accessible as back in the day.

Another update (I was pleading my case to the CSR I spoke to this morning via SM)

"We are getting in contact with Mr. Patrick now. We definitely do offer the increases, and we are going to get this taken care of. "

Fingers crossed Smiley Wink
