Accidentally applied for BOA with a collection on my account

Well, crap! I didn't realize a small (wrong) collection hit my credit and I aplied for a BOA card and it was declined. I already got it removed. Any chance applying again (only a week later) will do any good? Or will BOA "remember" the collection from last week?

I think it depends on if they decide to pull a new CR or not that will determine their decision. I know most banks use the same HP for 30 days, I'm sure someone can confirm or deny.

There backdoor number is listed on the backdoor numbers thread. You may be able to reach someone and get them to pull a fresh credit report. Just explain the circumstances and advise them that you have gotten it removed and would like to be reconsidered. Good Luck!

Have you received confirmation of the reasons that state it was declined due to the collection item?
