I don't think it matters. My sister added my nephew when he was 15. Depends on the bank and how much detail they want, I suppose. Name, address and SSN should be sufficient.
I don't think age matters as I was added to my grand mothers Cap One account as an AU so that I could pick up random grocery items and meds as she needed them. I was only 17 at the time. I recently removed myself from her account as I no long saw the need to be on there as I've been trying to establish my own credit identify. But I still get her items as needed...only now I pay for them myself...afterall, she's grandma. ![]()
Added my daughter when she was 12.
Pretty sure as long as you have a social # to allocate they don't care....you're responsible for whatever happens anyway.
I did have to take her to the DMV then to get her an I.D. card since most vendors will ask for picture I.D.

Awesome I guess I'll add my 9 year son turning 10 in Jan of 2016 to 3 of my account and I'll bring him to dmv to get a picture but don't know when he will use the card since he can't really go out alone to use the card being so young.. Hope being an AU does help with credit. I want him to be 18 and be able to put a 80k BMW in his own name
Well the income would have to support that 80k BMW, also if you want him to get a fancy car he would have to get some sort of installment loan in his name. CC's build credit history, but not auto history/installment loans.

Income wouldn't be a problem I can issue him an income thru my business.. As long as it shows some type of score .. Been talking to wife about this and she thinks I'm crazy
