Best cards to app with a lot of new accts / inq's?

Hey guys - have 11 new accts this year. TU shows 7 inq, 10 on EQ, and like 12 on EX.

I got 2 amex, 2 BOA, 2 Chase (slate + freedom), 1 USAA, 1 barclays, and 3 cap one cards in the last 4 months. Scores are around the high 600's.

Trying to add to the overall portfolio before gardening for a year. If you were me what would you app for that isnt inq sensitive?

Thanks in advance,

George

Boy, if I were you, I would stop while I'm ahead.  You got  a lot of really good cards.

That said, if you want to push your luck, how about a Discover card and a couple of decent credit unions, like Penfed and/or NASA?

I joined nasa and opened a small acct to get their card early on in the run and they denied me saying I didn't have much history. Discover shows a prequal for the discover IT card, BUT I don't know if that's legitimate or not? I burned citi years ago and never prequal with anything with them or US bank. Dont know if those two are tied together or not.

Take care,

George

BBVA and Chase didn't seem to be INQ sensitive when I apped with them. Had 9 or 10 on EX when I apped for the BBVA NBA Amex and was approved. Since you alredy have established a relationship with Chase you might be able to pull one or two of their co-branded cards as well. I was approved for the MilagePlus Exlorer @ 15k with a dozen INQ on EQ and EX and a week later got my IHG @ 15k as well and it was my 18th INQ on EX. Those are two lenders that I've had success with lately even with INQ's on the high side.

OP got 11 new accounts in the last four months.  This is way more than "four new accounts in two years" as is Chase's limit.

US Bank I'm pretty sure is gonig to be INQ sensitive and wants some history. I wouldn't trust a Discover pre qual as far as I could throw it.

Apparently that's Chase's limit for the branded Cards. - Slate, Freedom and Sapphire Preffered. Co branded cards they are much more lenient with.

My 2nd to last approval was my Chase Freedom. The key with chase is to grab them quick before the new accounts report. Smiley Wink .

This only applies to the Chase branded cards. The co-branded cards don't seem to fall under this rule unless you call in and speak with an UW. Then anything might be used as an excuse for a denial. I had 18-20 new accounts reporting when I got my approvals on United and IHG. Key is to not call in or if you must call in only speak to verification but best course of action is just to let it play out if you get the two week message.

Depending on how thick you credit profile is you might want to slow down a bit.. 11 new accounts reporting in the last 4 months is enough to make most lenders a bit scared.  Just be careful.  Every profile is different and some can handle alot of new accounts more than others.

Some cards to consider, Capital One, Stash Visa (Synchrony), Macy's Amex, Dillards AMex.
