Thank you very much, Jeffster1 - really appreciate you taking the time to write the report above. I actually see lots of similarities with my situation, so the perspective is nice... I'm very much in the "polite but frustrating overseas reps" phase right now - trying to get a straight answer from them is like talking to a wall. Yesterday I dropped off an Express Mail envelope at my local Post Office with a bunch of paperwork, including a hand-signed 4506-C and LETTER FROM MY BANKRUPTCY LAWYER... It was picked up earlier this morning. So - I'm really hoping this gets into the hands of "backroom" people, an executive office, or other such authority who can actually push my approval through. Going only off of your experience, it would seem as though I'll eventually connect with a higher-up. I'm still convinced my actual application hasn't been looked at by a real person, rather just stuck in some sort of auto-denial infinity loop.
I would agree that Chapter 7 was probably the best financial decision I ever made - had a very complex situation with no real recourse. "Wiping it out" along with years of charged-off credit cards etc. was by far the easiest and most effortless fix.
Amy word?

No - I have some more detailed responses in my thread asking for help on the executive office, but long story short it's just the same template letters with no actual application or document review. No one at AmEx wants to do business with anyone anymore - kind of a bummer!
