I wanted to add another card to fill the gap and maximize rewards. The CSP is great but sometimes only getting 1pt per dollar is sad but better than nothing from my secured, but wondering whats the 3rd card I should apply for?
Thanks any advice is appreciated.
Congrats on the CSP! What about a Discover card?
It is hard to make a recommendation if we don't know what your interests are. I guess I might recommend Amex BCE to you since most people need gas and groceries. You should try to see if you are preapproved for anything there.
There are various rewards cards OP.
2% everything: Citi, Fidelity, Paypal, Credit Unions like Alliant and SDFCU
5% rotating: Discover and Chase
Dining: Uber Visa, Savor, Propel
Groceries: Amex, Bank of the West
Also when you graduate and get the offer I'd PC the Cap1 to QS.

Keep in mind that all points are not created equal. Chase Ultimate Reward points are valued a bit higher than most others, and if you use them with their portal they're worth even more.
As for a card suggestion I would echo the above poster and reccomend checking out what AMEX offers as they have pulled from Experian in my experience. Good luck and be sure to update us when you decide to app! ![]()

The Citi DC is great getting that 2% back on everything, otherwise an AMEX BCE would probably fit you well
Get a AMEX, Maybe a Amex Everyday Card, good card to begin with amex!!

As your thinking this through, know your scores and whom looks at what. For example, EX is my best score so I tend to go after reward cards which only pulls EX.
Also make sure the reward ward you want is the one you go after. Think quality over quantity and be strategic with your apping. It’s going to be on your reports for a while.
