Advise on next apps...go

Good evening all...

The day I close on my mortgage (May 29th), I'm planning on replacing my $300 Citi Best Buy Rewardzone MC snd my $1500 Merrick Bank Visa. The Merrick Bank might get a free pass and stay though because of no AF.

The only card that is for sure staying is my CapOne QS1 card that just got cli'd from $2000 to $5000.

What can I should I (realistically) shoot for next?

I want to get in with Amex and maybe go for the Venture...

EX - 672
TU - 665
EQ - 668

2 open charge-offs that are 3 years old, a BK from 2010 and no lates since 2012, no lates on credit cards at all and income around $75,000 anually...

The key question will be what cards fits your lifestyle..  For best answers, tell us the cards you are interested in and we can go from there.

Well, I really like my QS1. I usually put enough thru it a month for about 2 full tanks of gas ($60). We don't fly alot, but we do a lot of weekend trips and that means stays at hotels so the Venture card is enticing.

Other than that, just getting a start with AMEX would be great. I've read some about the their everyday card and it seems like something I would really use.

Ok.. Identifying the 2 - Venture and Amex are great.  Personally, I like the Venture and you should go for it if it fits your needs.  Also, what particular hotels do you stay at?  Because there may be some hotel cards for you to take advantage of...

How are you going to be using the cards, what type of charges? Choose your cards based on what will work best for you.
